I know you meant tires.
Ties are part of a car's/truck's front end which includes tires. Ties and suspension are much more expensive to replace/repair than tires.

We live off a dirt road. Believe me when I tell you that it's in far better shape than many of the paved roads in town. Go figure...

So, today's peeve is;

Poorly maintained roads/highways, and in particular potholes.

I've had two tyres messed up by hitting those darn things.
They maintain potholes over there? Hmmmmm....

If you had said "tie rods" MM would have not been confused, I don't think.

I was replying to the OP's post about "ties and suspensions". More often than not, the word rods is dropped and ties are talked about.

OY potholes we had some, heck probably still there, over on the beach road in Bocas that were so huge and when filled with water the size of small lakes It's why when I bought my truck I got one that sits up real high. Never knew what was lurking under all that water in the pothole. Course then I'd have to spray off the undercarriage so the salt didn't mess things up, but that's a story for another day lol

Oh yes- potholes are well maintained!

It's an artform!

We have had two bad winters which have really shown up the lack of maintainance of our roads.

It varies from area to area and round here has been pretty bad, especially on the backroads which make up the main percentage in this rural area.

I'll trade you 50 potholes for one sinkhole.

That did get confusing. BTW, it wasn't the OP that mentioned ties. Around here it's tie rods. I'm guessing it's a regional thing.
