By the way, has anyone else watched Four Sheets to the Wind?
No, but I'll bet a lot of people will be four sheets IN the wind tonight.

This is kind of off-topic and such, but have any of you ever watched the Daniel Boone tv series. I know, but don't laugh; I realize it is tv after all.
However, I thought that program, off all that I have seen on tv (tv series) is more historically accurate regarding their accounts of Native Americans than others that I have seen. I record that program everyday and watch it every night. It's a great show. The program never views the Indian as a stereotype; it portrays each tribe as being different, and most of them in a positive aspect. In the show, Daniel Boone is very pro-Native American (even though he may or may have not been in real life). And the program was in the 60s, when much of the stereotypical images were portrayed of all cultures. If you haven't seen that show, please check it out.

Back on topic. Please continue to share what you can about Native American culture. We've been missing out all of these years and need to learn from our Native American friends..
With "Fess Parker", yes every week, it was on one of the few channels we could get back then.
Back then it wasn't that far from real life.

Thumbs down Ozarka dirties its name

Our well water is salty from the oil wells blasting out their wells. So we get Ozarka to deliver water.

The Ozarka delivery truck backed his truck over our flagpole two days ago. Don saw it and waited for the driver to come in and fess up. The driver never mentioned it and was walking out the door when Don said what about my flagpole?

The guy started stammering and said, oh yeah, I was going out to the truck and was going to tell you about it when I came back.

Then the driver says, I tell you what I will deliver some water next week and it will BE ON ME.

Don said no, I'm going to call your company. The driver said no, don't call, I will call. And when Don picked up the phone, the driver grabbed the phone from Don's hand.

Then the driver said well, that flagpole was all rusted and rotten anyways.

Well, when I got home, I blew a gasket. I called OKC Ozarka and gave them my two red cents worth!!

Personally, I feel:

A) the driver should've fessed up immediately. We all make mistakes, right? I know I do.

B) The driver should not try and bribe his way out of it with free water! Its not HIS water anyway.

C) The flagpole was not rusted and that is a moot point. He backed into it! Period.

D) Man, don't ever try and take a phone from a customer in his own house. I would've come unglued had he tried that with me. *(I know, oooh, big bad redbird) I am not prone to violence, but hey, that is innapropiate behavior.

E) The boss man from OKC said they would come out and take pictures. I told him I already did and emailed him pics.

Sorry, just had to rant.

Let it out, I'd have felt the same way you did, it wouldn't have mattered if the flagpole was rusty or not.

That was definitely inappropriate behavior! The nerve of them. Especially the guy taking the phone from his hand. Did you get any names from the people in the office? I know people who work in the OKC Ozarka office. They would be shocked to hear about this behavior. I'm sure they got a different story from the delivery guys, but good for you, sending pictures. No way they can get around that.

Default New Year

Here is an interesting link to put things into perspective:

http://www.peterrussell.com/Odds/WorldClock.php

Look at the part connected to deaths thus far in the world. It is broken down. Check out cancer, which is number 2. Kind of freaky, eh.
