Texas is part of the nurse compact agreement, but unfortunately, OKL isn't. Not sure if they waive that during emergencies.

I am sure the folks in Moore, OK did not have the slightest clue that they would be hit by another F5 tornado 13 years later. F5 & F4 tornadoes are very rare but for whatever reason Moore, OK seems to be more susceptible to tornado activity than other areas in Tornado Alley at least over the last decade and a half.

We're so sorry about what happened today. We were hit hard by Sandy here, but tornadoes are so scary , Especially since there is so little time to take shelter after tornado warnings. Our hearts are with you from New Jersey.

Insensitive is not the word I would use. How is anyone supposed to know exactly where or when the next F4 tornado will touch down? If an F5 hit in 1999, therefore, according to your logic, no people should live here ever again? My god, you do know this part of the country is called tornado alley? It stretches all the way up into the northern plains. Using your logic, should everyone just stop living where a tornado "might" hit?

If they did make storm shelters mandatory, all the haters would be crying about too much government.

Please try to understand that spring brings severe weather every year. Most of us have cellars, but in the suburbs, they may not have them. Many have safe rooms and some areas have storm shelters.
