I will be voting for Kasich in the primary next week. Even though I don't like his religious leanings on abortion in particular (I am pro-choice) I like everything else about him in an okay fashion. He is the only GOP member running who I would vote for over the Dem candidate. If he is not nominated, I will vote for the Dem.

Good, then vote for Bernie, you can get a free college education and a Bernie-phone.

I think Bernie is a far left fringe candidate but I would prefer him over Trump.

I also am smart enough to know that no one will get a free college education. Presidents don't actually do everything people seem to think they do.

I'm an independent because I actually do know how government works. I wouldn't want Trump to represent me to the world as an American. He is an a$$hole and blowhard and is not presidential.

FWIW, I would rather have him than Cruz who I think is an ultimate nutjob but of all the GOP still remaining, only Kasich has executive experience here in Ohio. He knows how to work across the aisle and I feel he would do a good job as president. The others, I don't think so.

Hillary Clinton will win the Dem nomination. Bernie won't win and I don't really like Hillary Clinton but I like her more than Trump and at least she's not an a$$hole.

^^^^ Yes, agree w/you, residing. Kasich is very knowledgeable, is not out to attack anyone, and he seems to be generally a good person.

Hillary is a different type of a$$hole -- she is a lying witch with no scruples. She got fired from two law firms for lying, that is a fact; she is a pathological liar. Read the books about the Clintons, very informative. Think about this too: what really happened to Vince Foster? hmmmmmmmmm. She was having an affair with him. Do you really want Bill and his Escapades back in the White House? whoa.

Trump scares the hell out of me frankly; he is only saying what the uninformed and uneducated want to hear. If he thinks the Senate or Congress is going to fall all over him, he's dreaming. Paul Ryan is straddling the fence, Trump is already playing head games with him according to the news.

We've already done on-the-job-training with O'Bummer, and there is no time to start that again.

Pray.

Default Kasich's rape counselor gag law

If you favor a ban on a rape counselor even informing a victim about the possibility of an abortion, vote for John Kasich, who signed into law such a gag order.

Remember That Secret Plain Dealer Gubernatorial Endorsement Video? Here's a Clip. | Scene and Heard: Scene's News Blog | Cleveland Scene

Shouldn't even an anti-abortion rape counselor have the obligation to inform a victim of all options?

Even worse, should a counselor who doesn't oppose abortions or who believes in the duty to inform a victim of all options, have their free speech right denied by anti-abortion zealots, such as John Kasich?

It's one thing to legislate. It's another thing entirely to gag free speech about legally available options, and then to be unwilling to defend and to explain such a draconian violation of free rights.

I've since wondered whether that gag rule prevents a rape counselor from mentioning the morning-after (emergency contraceptive) pill to a rape victim, even though the pills are available over-the-counter.

What I don't understand are these people who think that it is some how correct in any sense of the word to tell a woman that she cannot have an abortion if she is raped. I'm talking about crap like this:

Rape and Abortion
