I was in Scranton two weeks ago. I did not notice a difference. I never said Chris had nothing to do with it. I think cutting the Police is a bad idea.

Then we are mostly on the same page. You do agree, much like this year's presidential election, that Scranton needs new blood in the mayor's office.

If he continues to prevent any forward movement with Police and Fire then yes. He may not run again mind you....

But like Dan mentioned, we don't live in those cities, so it's a moot point. Scranton is still unsafe, so it doesn't matter what the crime rate is in those other cities.

He is running, he is holding fundraisers and he has NOWHERE else to go.

I'm glad that you didn't notice a difference while you drove down from the Summit to Gannons and then back home.

Paul no one is selling Scranton short by pointing out the obvious and sometimes blantant abuse of taxpayers monies and the lack of public safety in the process....Its just the truth.

We get a change of admin and I'm on board with anything that we can do to improve the city without increasing our annual debt service payments.

What about it? The dog park cost way too much. I'm not against a park where people can bring their dogs and exercise and get some fresh air. But $300,000 towards it in a dying city, mired with debt, when public safety is being cut. I don't think so. It could have been built for much less than that. Once again, the taxpayers have to take on the burden of these projects, much like Nay Aug and the like.

I mentioned that because you compare its price to other cities. But to compare a crime rate to others is not valid.....just a quick sentence, don't get all worked up over it...
