I am thinking of buying a house in the area and was wondering how the neighborhood is. I searched this forum but didn't find much info other then there are in fact couple of Pocono Mt Lake Estate developments. I am not sure which one I have seen the house is, but its the one that is not gated and has no pool/club house.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

If its section 5 A they have a lake in there and its very quiet .. Its 7 miles either way on 01 to the nearest store ( small grocery) I owned a house there and had 0 problems lived there 4 yrs .. The roads are rough I'd say AWD or 4x4 would be needed in the winter ,

No its not the schools ,,Its that everything is so far to get too .. 01 The road its on SUCKS , They were suppose to widen it a few yrs back but they never did .. If your house catch's fire , It can be a 1/2 hr till a fire truck gets there .. Its a LONG ride too get to a ""Real "" Shopping center for food and such .. I liked living there because you can hear a pin drop .. and I like seclusion ..

Thank you for the info. The drive to the shopping center doesn't bother me all that much. Seclusion is a big plus. Couple of people have told me about the burglaries in Wild Acres and surrounding areas, and from what I understand the house I am interested in is not that far fro WA.

Does anyone have any input on crime situation down there??

Thank you.

There is crime everywhere . a few well placed security signs and some light timers are a good deterrent .. I would not worry so much about it there..

If you like the house I'd go for it .. Have it inspected .. I have a friend in that area if you need someone DM me
