Seen this comment on the Extended Benefits Issue today......
As a Republican I am furious that my party would use a federally funded program as leverage to force their own agenda. I am also astounded that our Govoner is not bright enough to have a stand alone bill presented in support of our own residents to receive the federally supplied funds that could be available to 37,000 people in need. This is money to fuel our economy and help our own residents that we as a community/ state do not have to supply. I plead with all involved and concerned to get over this selfish, misgiuded child like behavior and help out the citizens of our state! We need action and help and we will not forget why we cannot pay our bills when we had the support of our nation but not our state leadership!!
The governor does have a standalone bill, we have been speaking of it quite a bit on these forums.... Problem is pubs will not allow it out of committee.
Yep. I'm sure the poor black folks living in trailer parks would love to hear Rep Collins talk about how scared he was to got there but he sure did want their votes. Way to represent!

So now we find out who won't allow the bill to be heard Mr. McComas. Surely there are people in your district that are going through this situation right now. While you dismissed for CincoDeMayo, people did not eat today....I can't understand why you would keep doing this to at least 45k people on a daily basis!!! This amounts to about the population of Chapel Hill, or Asheville...
Yet you just go on about your daily lives, how is that? Nobody's situation has changed, except for the worst. I pray the Lord looks upon you all, and your actions!
