My family had three different Datsuns in the 70-80s; Bluebird 810 (180B), Bluebird 910 (diesel wagon) and a 720 (diesel pick-up). The diesel engines were notoriously slow (no turbo).

I also love the old Toyota and Datsun vehicles. They lost all their charm when they became so popular.
Yes they are nice vehicles, but now I buy only brands from the USA. Keep our Companies strong will save all of our jobs !
Some of my favorites from the old days;
Rear Drive Toyota Cars, like the Celica, 1985 GTS comes to mind.
240Z 280Z s
The Toyota Trucks prior to mid 1995, pre-Tacomas

I liked the 240 and 260 z cars but the 280 was over the top, no more race to dam heavy......
The problem with z cars was it looked stupid in rag top.... So of course there were none.

300zx was even more over the top when it debuted in 1990, but was well ahead of its time... I mainly see them in the Sunbelt but they hold their value well.

I drive an '07 Frontier, and it's a great truck. Also have a 1978 510 wagon, currently for sale.

I think the Z looks great as a convertible:

Mrs. Tek opted for a Stanza in 1990 as her car of choice. We were so pleased with it that when it was time to replace my car in 1995 we bought a Maxima. In 2003 we replaced her Stanza with another Maxima.

One of my friends had a '73 B210 in high school; one night we fit 9 people into it. I don't imagine any of us were very comfortable, except for the driver, and she probably couldn't see squat around all our heads.

My sister had a 1987 Pulsar with T tops; that was one gorgeous car. She sold it because an infant car seat wouldn't fit in the back seat. From a Pulsar to a minivan ...

Oh, I just remembered, my brother and FIL both had one of the first 240Z cars in the US. Funny, both were red.
