Does anyone know about this newly constructed building on 116 St between Lenox Ave and Malcom X Blvd that was advertised on HPD's website? I have the opportunity to move there with my 2 1/2 year old son but I have lived in Brooklyn (currently in Clinton Hill) for 20 years and am not sure of the safety and school situation in this area. I'm a single mom so I'd love any insight on the daycare and elementary school situation as well. I work in Midtown so the commute would be better for me but I would have to pay significantly more in rent and would finally have a BR for my son but I can't decide if it's the best area for us. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!
As an update: I did plan to move to get another bedroom for my son but after close inspection I decided to pass. The apt. had a strong food smell due to a restaurant on the ground floor (and it was winter with closed windows) and there was already water damage on the ceiling in several rooms and the building was still unoccupied. I am still in Clinton Hill and still looking for an affordable apt...
