My main reason for posting it was the detailed numbers of apartments according to br/size. There is also a schematic of the buildings and apartments in various "lines" of each. I would imagine that those items are not subject to change no matter how old the material.

I submitted the paperwork on Feb 18th.
How long did it take to be contacted for the first time for some of you?

Depends on what size of apartment you are going for. The 1 bedrooms are in short supply so, those take longer. It took almost 4 months after the initial paperwork submission to get to an updated submission request and, the follow up process. It took another month to get the offer but, again I was going for a 2 bedroom.

Hello, my log number is 26xx and I was contacted on 2/8/22 to submit paperwork. I am on the hold list for a 1 bed. Was told nothing available till June and to check back then for an update. Also was told that lower log numbers will be offered the 1beds once they become available in June. Just read a post someone in the low 400s was recently offered a 1 bed. Safe to say I’m looking at over 1 year ?

I don't think anyone can answer your question. Maybe you'll be lucky and get called in June. Documents "age out" after 120 days, so if that length of time has passed since you submitted paperwork, you'll have to submit fresh ones.

Stuy Town is having the renovations done in batches. We here on the bulletin board do not know how many one-bedrooms are in the next batch, or when that batch will be finished. We also don't know how many people are ahead of you in the one-bedroom queue. So you see how it's impossible to answer your question without knowing what's going on behind the scenes.

I received an email today that was a bit confusing. It said one bedrooms were now available and to update my info to remain on the waitlist. I originally sent in the big checklist in September and then updated financial statements in November. This email said to use the checklist. I wrote back and said I had already submitted the checklist and asked what specific documents he was requesting. This is what he said:

"Please submit updated documentation except for the following IF you have already provided them:
-ID
-Checklist (4 Pages)
-Background Credit Check (2 Pages)
-Student Affidavit"

I already sent in all of those, but a scan of the student affidavit. Do I need to send the original?

then he wrote:
"The rest of the documentation, which pertains to income and assets including bank statements, paystubs, employer letter, etc must all be updated and recent."

I submitted my employer letter and paystubs in my first submission but was not asked for it again in my second (at that time I had a different housing specialist). I'm fine to submit updated paystubs...he didn't specify how many, dates, etc. and do I need another employer letter? That was such a pain to get the first time!

I know he is the one with the answers but he also told me he isn't in the office today and doesn't have access to my files to answer specifics. Did anyone who completed the process recently have to resubmit an employer letter? I guess I should ask (i'm a little flustered) - what was asked from you during your last submission? I know I shouldn't assume anything, but since I was told I was "next" I'm thinking this might be it.

Thanks in advance.

No, you shouldn't need to. I was never asked for a notarized affidavit before I was offered an apartment. I think they've waived the notary requirement because of the pandemic.

I know I just DMed you a version of this answer, but I'm putting it here too so everyone can read it--I did have to resubmit an employer letter, but as my "employer letter" I always submitted a printout of my HR portal that shows my title and salary, rather than an actual signed letter from HR, and Stuytown accepted that, so I think it's okay to get a bit creative with what counts as a letter, if you have any other types of documents you can send.

Hi, I was the one with a number in the 400s. Someone who had a number in the low 1000s (I think? or maybe 800-900, my memory is a little fuzzy) posted that they were offered a one-bedroom apartment earlier this year, so it's possible they are farther along on the list than my number would suggest. I did have to appeal last summer after they said they didn't receive my documents, so that might have bumped me back in the queue somehow (or it might not have! there's no transparency so I'm just guessing). You're still probably looking at a long wait, but maybe not quite as long as it would take to go from 400 to 2600.

Yes, I'm under 1100 and there were definitely people over 1000 who got one bedroom apartments a few months ago. At the beginning it was going super fast. The first 1000 seemed to fly, but then one bedrooms went on hold and it completely stopped. Like everyone else said, it's hard to know, but if there is a big batch coming up you may have a chance at getting something sooner than you think. This whole process is so unpredictable!
