How long from inputting log numbers to actually contacting you for an interview? Anyone know, my log number was pretty low with CB preferences. Oh and hi everyone!
I got a 60,000 log number again. Before I said all my log numbers were low for this area but now I realize the correct lingo is good log numbers are low while bad ones are high. (I think lol).
Also speaking of Essex Crossing, I accidentally applied for site 6 already not realizing it was for seniors only. I'm sure I'm not the first person to do that though so hopefully they don't think I was trying to pull a fast one on them.
This made me giggle a bit but no I wasn't being sarcastic, only asked because in other threads I only ever seen people with 16xxx and down be called
Yeah it's kinda up in the air and depends on what each individual is bringing to the table folks get denied or not even called for certain things. Like I had low log numbers in the past for buildings and never got called but I wasn't CB preference for those buildings either. I got called in for an interview back in Feb for 250 Ashland I applied a yr ago, my log number is 60K and I have CB preference. So that is why I said your log number is good and I think you will be contacted within this yr. And aif you don't hear back you can always call in to find out what's the status

Here's a copy of what I posted back on 2/16 when I got back from the meeting MHANY had for 38 Sixth. Seems like they may be a week or 2 behind.
just came from the meeting MHANY had for 38 Sixth Ave. When she talked about applications, log numbers and the apartments, she said if for example they get 90,000 applicants (online and by mail) they're all put together and they decide how many to pull. If they choose to pull 2,000 then the remaining 88,000 don't even get a response (no rejection or anything). From the 2,000, they go by preference and then log numbers. If they have for example 26 apts. in the 1 bedroom, $1314 range and they qualify 26 CB preference for those apts. then that's it. Everyone else in that range for those apts is basically SOL and will get wait listed.
For 38 Sixth, it closes in March, tey will wait about a week to get any by mail convert those to electronic applications and by April, issue log numbers. They will start interviews in May and start moving people in by the summer. Let's hope they stick to that timeline. non preference will be waiting until fall or later. Also, it seems that it doesn't matter if you applied right at midnight when it first opens or 11:59pm right before it closes, they will determine log numbers, along with NYC.
too many morons. just go back and read? or read the damn handbook. ugh
