Oh just saw that's for Site 6, i guess there are others. I've applied to every single lottery that comes up for the income band I qualify for. I dont recall seeing any others? like 1 - 5?!

There's GAZILLIONS of apartments in all the lotteries in Manhattan for very low income people and in other developments outside Pacific Park, but not for middle income band people who make too much for subsidies but not enough to afford market rate... it really blows and makes me question what is the point of staying in this city? good luck to everyone with low log numbers! Maybe another person affiliated with a real estate blog that's in bed with all the big developers in the city will win an apartment like they did at 461dean and gloat about it on a blog I won't mention :/
THANK YOU for an outstanding post!! Why is the city so against the middle income??!!!

the area is nice... i live in the area now and have CB.. i have noticed that they are being a bit cheap in terms of a doorman. like a part time door man, really? and i feel appliances won't be as updated as the other lotteries.. but we'll see.. still apply everyone.

Yes, the area is great....I live not too far and grew up in the neighborhood. I applied even though I only am eligible for a studio only. I think because this building is ALL affordable housing they aren't splurging on the doorman instead only part time or a virtual one? Honestly, I am loosing confidence/hope on these lotteries...but I won't give up and keep applying to what I can. Oh well...let's see how things goes. I just know that Essex Crossings is a MAJOR development and will have several buildings planned (not sure if all will have affordable units).

Yeah I seen the listing for that.....all I can say is the 1 up is the coin operated laundry....I have to use a card in my building and the lowest bill I can add is $5 🙄😑 but other than that the building doesn't have any amenities that would make me wanna move from BK to sinking Manhattan 😂

Yeah, I'm not too thrilled with the one they are offering now...I'll see what else will pop up for this development. I really really wanted 461 Dean and even got as far as the interview, but now on the waiting list with zero chances ...they had such GREAT amenities. All the great amenities building just doesn't seem to have anything for the mid income band!!! It's like they think we middle income citizens doesn't deserve great amenities!!! It's just soooooo frustrating being in this income band range and seeing all these beautiful buildings go up all over the city and I have NO chance in hell of getting in

The log numbers are applied randomly. That's what makes it a lottery. Applying fast gives you no advantage.
