No. It can't possibly hurt you.

If you don't get in via CB, you're still in the general pool, so if your log number is low enough, you could still conceivably get in. It's unlikely, in my estimation, for a log number to be too high to get in via CB, but low enough to get in through general population.. but it is technically possible. Being wait listed based on your CB does not disqualify you from the general pull.

Okay Post Appeal update : Absolutely no word as of yet .. the appeal didn't seem like an appeal at all, I gave a female my documents and left. After asking the next steps, I was told- I will call you.

Has anyone been through an appeal and would like to share your experience. Please shed some light lol

So far I have been through 3 appeals 2 for the exact same information that was never missing from my file. You pretty much just provide the necessary information and if not approved you will receive an additional rejection letter.

How long did it take for you to receive the second rejection letter?

Any additional rejections will come very quickly, within a week. If approved, you'll hear nothing back. "No word is a good sign" as they say. I'm not sure why they mentioned they'd call, unless it would be to come in for the next phase to sign a verification form (which is the phase they're in now) .

I've come to learn that no news simply means you're still being considered.

^ not true at all. Your file could have fell into the abyss. You won't get the news until the mass email blasts go out before they select their favorites.
