{{ Commenting on a posting on this page..."Egglady, thanks for the info on Kevin and Danelle. If you see her tell her the Gilmore's from Salt Flat said hi and we are praying for everyone. I have talked to her mom a couple of times today to let her know what I read on here. I can't believe El Paso news is not reporting on this fire. Watched KVIA at noon and 6pm and didn't hear a word about it. Thanks again..." }}

We do not own property in Timberon but have been there several times. My band {TIMBERWOLF} has played there at the lodge for special occasions. We are good friends of Kevin and Danelle Ross and were very happy while reading all these entries to hear that it appears "they are safe". Their son "Euel" plays in my band. He called me yesterday evening to let us know he was going up to help fight the fire! We are just hoping that "he" is alright too {?} as we've heard that several of the fire-fighters were injured!?

We also want to express our concern for those residents who have lost their home, etc. And our prayers go out to everyone there! In keeping with this...When this is all over, my band would be more than happy to do a "benefit" to help raise funds to help those who have suffered a loss in the fire! We aren't really sure who to contact about this...but if this sounds like something that would help, please contact us:

God Bless You All!

Sincerely,

Joe Weidner and TIMBERWOLF

We also have a lot on Homewood & we live in Phx.

From what I understand from several of our friends & neighbors - Homewood - seems to have escaped relatively unharmed. Though it would have been very close - since Dixwood did suffer damage. & it seems like - at least from one source that it is pretty well contained....- we hope!!!

We live in Lubbock Texas and just found out about the fire today. Our place is on Marlin Dr. Does anyone know if that area is in any danger at this time? Any information on the status of the fire and where it is would be greatly appreciated. I will continue to watch for updates. Our prayers are with the residents there.

Will someone please post a message and let us know when we can get back in there. I had already surveyed and was ready to build. I'm farther up the mountain. From the pictures, I think my land was burned really bad.

Marlin is not near the fire area.

The EMT's were NEVER called out - so that means NO injuries.

Thanks for caring for all of Timberon. Thank you for the offer of a benefit for those that lost. Best bet is to go to the Timberon.org web site and contact them.

I was told that all homes and property on Homewood were OK. A lot had smoke so thick you thought they were gone. But I know Double EE and Bear's Mom's places are OK. My neighbor drove homewood yesterday AM and said all was fine. Damage was over on Dixwood. So that is 1 block over.

Your best bet is to watch here or go to Timberon.org where Judy will post the status on when you can go in and check your property out. You do not say where your property is. If you did thinning it may not be as bad as you may think. That does help.
Good luck with your property.

Most of the area inside the map is not burned. As I understand it, this is what the Forest Service defined as the boundaries. On Wednesday night, some friends who live at the corner of Riverside and Pioneer slept in their home, which is inside the red line.
