How is the neighborhood around this stop? I was out there once, but I didn't get a good sense of how safe the neighborhood is there, because I wasn't there for very long, and it was the daytime.

It's kind of confusing, because the light rail web site says the stop is in Hoboken (very safe) but can't be more than a few blocks from Jersey City Heights (safety is so-so, I think) and Union City (unsafe.)

Thanks in advance for the info.

This is not a great area. The side of Hoboken that it's on is basically right near the one bad section of town. I am pretty sure that area of JC Heights is also not good.

That area is actually pretty upscale (tons and tons of new fancy condos) now that the light rail is there, and that section of the Heights has always been the better areas of the Heights -- crime-wise. Don't walk alone after 1am and you should be OK>

Gravy Boat, yes, I know they are building the new condos, but the projects are still RIGHT THERE... not the safest part of Hoboken.
