I put Englewood because its looking more and more likely that Tenafly will be cut out. Englewood would mean that Tenafly Center and North would not be built and the line would end at the Hospital which is a Major job supplier in Bergen County. The line is projected to have between 50-70,000 daily riders mostly car users who drive down to Jersey City and Hoboken and other NJ Gold Coast cities from Ridgefield Park ,Englewood , and other towns. There will be a huge Park and Ride on Route 4 and TOD is already going up in Downtown Englewood. The line is supported by all the towns except Tenafly. After this is completed , the Bergen - Passaic Light Rail is looking likely to get built , there is no NIMBY against that however towns are upset about being left out , so there are issues with that. The Bayfront Extension of the HBLR , Canal Crossing Station should come later this decade and sometime in the 2020s Grove / 18th Street Station and North Hoboken will be built....after that maybe 2 more extensions to Journal SQ or Secaucus.

tenafly is being so silly...why would they give up on easy commute for their people?
Its a shame because if they choose to go through with the Englewood plan , there would be no further extensions to Closter , Norwood and Piermont....and maybe Nyack. There reasons are so stupid and ridiculous...
Tenafly's resistance will be a true shame with restoring rail service to this line though eastern Bergen and the possibility of it extending to Rockland. It's foolish. Commuter rail existed there in the past, and there's a clear demand for it now. Just makes no sense.
Can't wait for bayfront extension to be completed. It will be more convenient for our tenant in Society Hill. Maybe we can think about moving back to our condo when we retire.
