well she sure wasnt thinking that no more. cause even here in nyc the mta tells you specifically to not cross tracks you have to go up or down the stairs to the other platform. but still some people still make the mistake and use the tracks.

when my father came from Haiti 30 years ago he did that once and lucky for him no train was near or came so the people explained to him what he was doing wrong , and helped him up to the platform.

She must have had music blasting in her ear to have NOT heard the train horn. Those horns are LOUD...I live two blocks from an NJ Transit station in my hometown and can hear the darn thing loud and clear; it's even worse at college!!! Plus, it's common sense to NOT walk on train tracks! Did she see anyone else walk onto the track?

Now, I've listened to music while waiting for a train, but I paid attention to what's going on around me and didn't walk (or jump) onto the train tracks!!!

The lesson here: pay attention when waiting for a train! Stay away from the tracks!

I know. Twice over the years I've been on a train that killed a suicide.

if it does ever happen to me hopefully it will be outside the tunnel.

If i was operating a train and hit someone, it really wouldnt bother me. Theres nothing these guys can do about it. You cant stop a train quickly no matter what you do. So if people want to stand on the tracks and kill themselves, its not the train operators fault.

I thought it was more then that, nearer to the double digits with all the trains that are running all day, week, year long.
