Just checking in - as you know NC inland didn't get anything from Sandy - the shore (about 2 hours driving east of me) is always another story. Since I've been down here no hurricanes, but dang the snow flies every year (tarheel said NO snow ever - yeah well he married me and I changed that).
Anyhow, if there's storms you wouldn't hear from me usually - the airlines are too busy and I get too grumpy and exhausted to be on here. Just as an FYI.
LOL - it is really awesome to see you and I liked your weekly posts, wish they would continue! Mac, always fun reading your posts, I can hear the backwoods accent - I miss that down here. Anyone hear from Casey B?
Oh and LOL, Im bummed about the elections myself.
Now on to my dear friend Country - it's a great surprise my friend to see so many posts from you. I personally was worried about you until our bunch on facebook told me you were asking about us. I have friends and former in-laws all along the coast from here to NH - luckily noone lost their life, most never lost anything else - besides power and cable for weeks. Thanks for your concern - remember you can always reach me via email.

it's strange.... people have been saying congrates in email sent from here, in dm's and that in the open thang. A dm but open to all so long as one's profile is open to all which mine is.
The check did arrive today...... I haven't been out to the bank yet, but it won't be just blown.. most likely it will go towards my bride and her health, or something else we need, over want....
There is way too much old Yankee in me to blow it all.......
Worst case a camera for my Artsy Bride.. She does color pencil like a photo....... When I see some of her cats pics i think they are real photos'.
IMO she needs a good digital camera for stills that can take a few different lenses. I have 2 old 35 mm Minolta's and maybe 6 lenses; taught her all I know, which is a bit.... Once in another time, land, country and county in a place no longer real I too was art student.... i just wasn't that good........
LOL a girlfriend of ours one day passed me a pad and a pencil and said draw something.
Being who I am I drew a fry square toe boot, and it looked pretty good considering it had been a time since i drew anything.
It was a boot because it was a simple still and i am sick of glasses and grapes..... Ain't neva yet seen a framed pic of a boot on the wall anywhere yet! LOL
