Anyone know what is going on in Glenbrook with the area between Lazy Boy and Bellezza? Looks like they are developing the land for more retail or a restaurant, our perhaps just more parking?

I noticed that too. I assume it's another building as I haven't noticed parking being a huge concern there.

Any quality of bathroom reports yet on the new building? (LOL!)

I used to live near that area.

Does anyone have any information on what's going on at the Streets of Indian Lake? It sits almost half empty and severely lacks variety, especially in men's clothing. Personally, I'd like to see an Express or a J. Crew open, but who knows when that will happen.

I don't get it either. Everything I've heard is that the rent is very high in the Streets. I'm not sure why it isn't working...Providence in MtJ seems to have success in keeping tenants in their outdoor mall section...you'd think that'd translate well to Hville but it hasn't so far.

The big thing, to me, is that the Streets has always wanted to be a boutique center. Other than movies in the evening, there's nothing driving traffic to the shopping center as a whole. Providence has its center section of smaller stores near the movie theater, but it also has numerous big-box anchors front and back like Kroger and Target and Best Buy and such, drawing customers past all those other stores on a regular basis. The Avenue in Murfreesboro is another good example of mixing smaller stores with big-box traffic drivers.

Having said that, there's nothing wrong with wanting to be a boutique center (Glenbrook has the big-box stuff amply covered a mile down the parkway), but it is challenging.

The manager at Hobby Lobby told me last night, Five Guys Burgers is coming in next to HobLob...I know Indian Lake is crowded with burger joints, but this is a good one!
Also, a Tuesday Morning is coming as well, next to Hobby Lobby.
