Just wondering if anyone else is seeing or has already seeing Michael Schenker Group in concert on their current tour of the U.S.??
From the reviews that I have read so far, he is playing really well these days, and is looking really healthy. He is ripping into the solo riffs left and right, apparently, so the Schenker magic is still intact!! The set list is showing a mix of classics from the early days of M.S.G. (Cry For the Nations, Doctor Doctor, Armed + Ready, Attack of the Mad Axeman, On and On, etc.), and stuff from his 2008 album, "In the Midst of Beauty". I could use some of the McCauley/Schenker material as well as some from "Written In the Sand", but then again, I can't picture Gary Barden singing on tunes like "This is My Heart" or "Rock 'Till You're Crazy". Robin McCauley and, especially, Leif Sundin, have very different vocal qualities from Gary Barden. I suspect Michael is sticking to early M.S.G./the latest album for this reason. Every M.S.G. album ever made has ruled, IMO, though, so I can't wait to see this concert in a few days!!! WIsh there were a "horns up" icon here, LOL!!!
