I need input from people who have actually seen them live. Would it be worth it for me to spend $300 on semi-decent tickets?? I've been wanting to see this band for the past twenty years; it's one of the things I want to do before I die. They're playing at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena; it's the last stop on their U.S. tour this fall. I started looking at the seating chart, and now I have a headache. Help?

Yikes, $300? What happened? Bono was so against those high prices. I guess they don't have any control over it. But if I was a huge fan I'd do it. I saw them in Seattle the last tour and I wasn't disappointed, but then, I won all my tickets. Six in all. If I could afford to spend the money on the tickets, if I were that big a fan (and I am), I most definitely would.

Well, I'm talking about decent seats. I could pay as little as $55, but then it's like: "Where's the band? Oh, you see those little antlike creatures waaaay over there?" "No, I don't; give me the binoculars now!" (Yes, I know they have giant screens, but then it's like sitting outside watching a video. Why??)

That's absolutely right, the nose-bleed section was like watching a video. I also had tickets for the floor--but not the elipse --and the floor was bad too because I'm so short. Short people should get automatically upgraded to the elipse--or whatever they're calling it this tour.

I say go for it, spend the money.

Yes, at only 5 feet tall, I'd have to get real seats; general admission won't do it for me!

Thanks very much for your input... Now let's see what I can find.

Okay, I found tickets. The price plus the service fee nearly made me faint. Well, there goes part of my tax refund! Hopefully, it will be money well spent. Once in a lifetime, that's for sure!!!

I've seen them twice Sandy but it was a LONG time ago BEFORE they became a super group.

They were brilliant live back then and from what I've seen on DVD in the years since they're still amazing live.

I'm not sure I'd pay upwards of $300 to see them now but then I've seen them.

I suppose I need to compare to something like Pink Floyd. I've never seen them and if the opportunity arose now I would pay $300 + just to see them once.

So yeah, GO FOR IT!!!

I was in the same predicament with AC/DC last year. Had wanted to see them all my life, and didn't know if I'd get another chance with them getting up there in age. I ended up paying over $400 for 2 excellent seats. It was a great show, but I wouldn't shell that kinda jack to see just anyone, obviously.

These are the times we live in. You gotta pay to play. Sad, but true.

Oh, BTW, I have seen U2 twice, and they are excellent live. If you like them that much I say go for it.

It's worth it

I saw them in Charlotte, like a couple of years ago.
