Sorry, no offence intended. Also, for some reason I didn't see Sting in your line up. Tool? Missed that one, but since I married in 1990 that doesn't surprise me!!
P.S. Early 30's? You are young, so celebrate it while you can! I meant to say that your post made me feel old since I didn't recognize most of your list. But, your reply list I did recognize!! BIG GRIN!! Great taste, so I'm sure if I heard the others, I'd agree!!!!
None taken! I like alot of music thanks to dad, he worked for CBS records in the 70's and 80's so I grew up with everything!
Alice In Chains- Unplugged , #1 ever.
Beatles- Ab Rd
CCR-Chronicle
Pink Floyd- Echoes
Nirvana Unplugged was great as well.
Bob Seger- Greatest Hits
Beatles- 1
As you can see I count compilations, IMO they are usually the best.
Some of my *absolute favorites* have already been named.
Y'all out there have good taste.
A few picks, in no particular order:
American Beauty - Grateful Dead
Blood on the Tracks - Bob Dylan
Warren Zevon - Warren Zevon (if you have never listened to this album, I highly recommend it, there is not a single weak track)
Peaceful World - The Rascals (sort of a jazz fusion sound, really good stuff)
Layla - Derek and the Dominoes (Clapton and many friends)
Allman Brothers - Live at the Fillmore? Or maybe Eat A Peach? Idlewild South began it all.
Gasoline Alley - old school Rod Stewart, with a full band that gave him a really nice sound
