i just bought Diana Ross' The boss CD from the amazon.com used section. Great stuff. Real classy high gloss disco.

But what really blew me away was Sister Sledge's All American girls from 1981 which i also got. better than We Are Family which was pretty good too

Anyone know these?

I don't know the albums, but both those artists are awesome... I loved Diana ross stuff from the late 70s - 80s.

I know them both but only Diana Ross well. I like Diana Ross a lot but you wont find any Sledge music in my collection.

"We Are Family", used to be the theme song for the believe-it-or-not winning Pittsburgh Pirates. Loved the team, hated the song...

Dianna, had first row seats to see her in concert going on 20 years ago. She can sing alright, and so sexy it was frightening!

Default with me

it's not so much that I like Sister Sledge or Ross that much but it's the Chic production team of Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards that produced Sister Sledge's We Are Family in 79 and Ross' Diana in 80 (Upside Down and I'm Coming Out) that made me buy those CD's. And then i read a favorable review by Rolling Stone of Sledge's All American Girls produced by a guy named Narada Michael Walden and I bought the CD--really powerful dance music, more progressive and interesting than We Are Family
