This is a great thread. Some albums just come together, and become much more than their separate equal parts. My problem is I have a lot more than five. Let's see...
Something ... Tony Bennett

Songs for Swingin' Lovers ... Sinatra/Riddle
In the Wee Small Hours ... Sinatra/Riddle
(Better lay off Frank ... just too many)
The Wham of Sam ... Sammy Davis, Jr.
Rubber Soul ... my favorite Beatle album, but I could add many more.
Blonde on Blonde ... Dylan
Led Zepellin II
Time/Peace ... The Rascals
Hot House Flowers ... Wynton Marsalis
John Coltrane Plays for Lovers
Anniversary ... Stan Getz
Kind of Blue ... Miles Davis
Can't Buy a Thrill ... Steely Dan
Countdown to Ecstasy ... Steely Dan
Sweet Baby James ... James Taylor
A Space in Time ... Ten Years After

You'd have to ask my ex for a more definitive list, lol.
Miles Davis Sketches of Spain turned me on to music in ways I could not previously imagine.
The Clash London Calling brought me back to appreciation of raw and simple rock & roll.
Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon let me know that an album could be more than just a collection of songs.
Jethro Tull Songs From the Wood for that celtic influence -- my heritage.
Waylon Jennings Live (in Austin) is just so full of raw emotional energy. Waylon really nails it here.
Truly, there are so many more than five. Playing and listening to music is a very important aspect of my life. Even more so now, that I am beginning to introduce my children to the wealth of music (and steer them away from the Disney crappity crap).
1...Genesis - Wind and Wuthering
2...Pink Floyd - Dark side of the Moon
3...Blessid Union of Souls - Blessid Union
4...Chicago - The very best of Chicago
5...Renaissance - Ashes are Burning
