Imagine the money they would make on a E.T sequel? Would be amazing for sure.

Ahh, yes, he has a rugged charm, piercing blue eyes & that low voice gets me everytime that it keeps me awake nights! Ah, gee. I'm single. Thanks. Now I'll be awake all evening! Do gorgeous men really fall through ceilings if you wish hard enough?! I'll get back to ya' tomorrow...

You must check out "The Laughing Seagull", an Icelandic dark comedy. Brilliant film, beautiful cinematography! The pretty young actress is so brilliant & it's her first acting job. Top of the list of my Top 10. As a former film student, I think you'll enjoy it. I just saw a button to keep track of people - buddy list or something like it. You'll be my first add so we can keep track of movies. You asked for it woman! I'm a real movie buff. Haven't watched TV in 10-yrs. I think I have one. It must be that dusty box in the corner of my storage room that I can't identify! But, Netflix, Starbucks & an occasional Irish ale are the sustenance of life, I'm convinced of it.

Please let me know of your favs, too.

Have fun... VV
Hi KittensPurr -

I've been meaning to check out Enduring Love. I imdb-ed Daniel Craig after drooling over him in Casino Royale and EL sounded really interesting actually. I'm glad you recommend it! I watched Road to Perdition again after watching CR and was just disappointed about how much of a weasel he was in that movie so my husband hastily pulled out Layer Cake from our DVD collection for me and I was very very satisfied. I'm not big on English movies b'c I'm so bad with accents so I never knew about Layer Cake!

Anyway, I will also keep Laughing Seagull in mind! Oh yeah, by no means was I ever a film student. You're giving me waaaay too much credit! It was just one film class I took - "funnest" elective ever!

Definitely keep me updated on movies! You'll also have to let us know if Daniel fell from the ceiling. Oooh baby! I will definitely let you know of some films, too, but I'm too tired to think now and my in-laws are coming this weekend!

Default Se7en 2

I don't know, with some of my all time favorite movies it's like; YES, I do want more of that, because it's just insanely well done. On the other hand I am not so sure, if I REALLY want a sequel or prequel to f*** up what I originally like ...

"SE7EN 2" / aka "4TEEN" / "EI8HT"

There have been rumors, somebody was planning to do "EI8HT" -- ... god, it's even hard to putting this into words ...: "WHAT A F**** HORRIBLE IDEA!!!

Then again. I guess there still is a story in those characters and the entire thing was so well crafted, that I would want to see more ...

Well, I guess if anyone does it, I wish it would be David Fincher! His take on the genre and of course the film itself (with a flawless script by A.K. Walker) were simply unique. If there's an earthly way of making a worthy sequel to this, I would definitely go see it ...

One of my favorite movies is Little Romance ... I wish a sequel could have been made of that one!

Watched Little Manhattan last night and it reminded me of Little Romance.

I *loved* A Little Romance.
As you may know, it is based on a French book--and there is even a sequel to the book! But none, as far as I could see, published in English.
I'll have to check out Little Manhattan.

Little Manhattan is so cute! The little boy is really amazing. Bradley Whitford and Cynthia Nixon play his parents. It's oh so NYC too.

Did you read the sequel??? Whenever I hear that song from the movie, I get teary eyed because I see Daniel jumping up and down trying to wave goodbye ... sniff sniff.

I can't read French. And I don't think I can talk my kid into translating it for me.
I have Little Manhattan in my Netflix queue, thanks for the headsup.

Foma & Others -

I believe you'll enjoy a British film called "Morlang", a based on truth story of a well-known, middle-aged painter with marital/work problems & a wholly unique way to solve them. The accents won't give anyone a problem. Very different plot & surprising choices he makes.

Also, "November" is so cleverly shot, albeit a bit dark, in cinematography & subject matter. It's a psychological thriller with Courtney Cox as a photographer/teacher & a bit in the "Momento" realm. I almost dismissed it (thought it would be too "Friends-y", but saw the trailer & now own it. I defy anyone to guess the plot the first time through. Unbelievably surprising, albeit sad, so don't watch it if your a bit forelorn.

If you're a Woody Allen fan, have you seen "Match Point"? I like most of his films, but this one is shot in London & is different subject matter for him. Wealthy British family with a working-class son-in-law who changes many's paths. Surprisingly dramatic plot, gorgeous scenery, beautiful lighting.

Any others you'd suggest? I need to add a dozen more to my 380+ Netflix queue. I don't feel comfortable until it hits 500!

Have fun... VV
