We nearly made it through the first season of "Game of Thrones". I'm very impressed. I read all the books in the "A song of ice and fire" series and found them amazing. I didn't think they could make a series so close to the book. Even DH enjoyed it a lot and we can't wait to watch the second season even though it's not yet translated and dubbed and released in Germany

Skyfall, found it very boring! Had no sexy women or James Bond gadgets, except for the original Austin Martin!

We saw Argo last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Wow, what a suspenseful movie! If I were a nail-biter, I would be chewin' away.

Exam.
Talk about making an enjoyable suspense flick using only a handful of actors, a small set and low budget.

I saw End of Watch. I enjoyed it very much and I liked the ending. I wanted to slap the girl leader from the Curbside gang.

The Way. Written by Emilio Estevez and starring his Dad Martin Sheen. I liked it. I'm not religious but am someone who has regrets and questions about fate etc. The movie is what I would consider a less is more movie which I like. No tearful speeches, chest beatings, pointing everything out to the viewer or explanations. You get out of it what you see and decide to take away.

New on Netflix streaming (finally something I wanted to see)

Pather Panchali

I first saw this film 25 years ago. I'd forgotten how good it is. It's an excellent, sensitive protrayal of the intelligent son of a poor Bengali family.

Chinee Girl

A documentary about Chinese women in Trinidad. Interesting and sometimes sad.
