"The Man Who Could Cheat Death"
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0053041/?ref_=nm_knf_i2

It's a decent Hammer horror flick, not as overly inflated as others (ie, Madeline Smith), but decent. A story with no loose ends. It's sort of a reversal of "The Night Strangler".

Another Simon Pegg & Nick Frost fan here (along with my husband and adult kids). Hot Fuzz is such a perfect movie! Paul, a sci-fi road comedy set in the Nevada desert, is also fun and different than their other movies.

Friday night, finished the pilot for "The Streets of San Francisco". Good if slightly predictable.

Just finished "Supernova"
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0419373/?ref_=fn_tt_tt_3

Pretty darn good....even if perhaps not the best movie to pick the day after or so after the planet has gone through mysterious gravity waves.

I had my doubts when saw Luke Perry in the credits but older, he's turned into a pretty decent actor. Recognizable names but watching the flick, I didn't see the actors but their characters.

Okay, as a disaster movie or mini series, it has the standard formula. The threat, the people to hate, those to worry for, the unpredictable variable, who's going to be the cannon fodder, and other such items.

The massive destruction scenes were pretty realistic, the suspense of whether or not we were all ..... all puns intended....TOAST held on to the edge and while the wrap up was pretty convenient, it did work.

It got low ratings on IMDB but I found it worth well as one of the movies in a bonus pack.

Oh good, thanks for letting me know! I do love apocalyptic-type movies if they're well done (and toss in zombies, I'm hooked). So at least my blu ray purchase probably wasn't a waste...I'll just have to upgrade my player at some point.
