Oh, it's dated, the special effects are nil, but it is fun with a good DP at times, it has its moments of suspense when one wonders if this is going to be "and then there were none", and finally, it held me through the entire movie.
In our fast paced world, it so easy to say, "Oh, I have other things to do," and leave the movie, but this one held me on the sofa. Maybe not too terrifically but held there I was.....even to say, "Oh, I watched that, watched it all, once.".
It was in the same bargain pack as "Valley of the Dragons", in fact on the same disk.
"Widows" Steve McQueen 3/5
Script was weak IMO--the two strands (political/heist) were intertwined but w/o real definition--glossed over--
Cast is way above the script but even the acting was more motion than invested--which is surprise==expected more...
and this should have been much better movie considering the talent associated with it...
Yes thank you . You summed up this movie perfectly . My sil 's sister said she zoned out and now I know why there was top talent in this but not a lot of action for me . You summed it up for me as well .
Interesting as an idea story. As a veteran of the "end of the world" movies popular in the 60s and 70s, this one seen in through those lenses is a good one of hope within hopelessness.
Theatres: Ralph Breaks the Internet....loved it! Very funny and good
At home: Wonder Woman for the millionth time
Two Gal Gadot movies in a day <3
