I've actually been to the same film twice within a week.

I went to the local charity premiere of The Young Victoria last week and watched it again yesterday.

That's the first time I've seen a film twice at the cinema since ET!

I enjoyed the film itself immensely, but also watched it as it was partly filmed where I work and I was aiding the crew during filming last year.

Me too. I went to see Slumdog on a Sunday night, and took my son to see it the very next night. I'm probably gonna take my guy to see it too!!

Sad to say, but the last movie that I saw in the theaters was the third installment of LOTR. And it's not a coincidence that my son was born a couple of weeks later. But starting in September, 2010, both kids will be in school, and I hope SWMBO and I will be able to catch some matinees.

I saw the fantastic "The Class" and "Young Victoria" in the last week. "The Class" was truly superb ( in French with subtitles - it won the Palme d'Or at Cannes) , it is set in a tough inner city school and follows a class for one year, the acting was so good that I almost believed it was a documentary.
Funny, and very poignant at the same time. Superb. It has a lot to say about mutual respect and the integration ( or lack of) of immigrants in our society. Very, very clever.

"Young Victoria" I also greatly enjoyed , a very sumptuous and yet intelligent look at Queen Victoria's ascension to the throne and the devious political games played around her. Emily Blunt was superb as was Rupert Friend. Well acted, rich and witty.

Last movie I saw in the theater was 'Bourne Ultimatum'. That's likely to change on May 8th.

Last week I went to see "I Love You Man". Thought it was quite a funny flick!

Hard to believe, but it was "Castaway" starring Tom Hanks and a volleyball. If I'd known that would be the last movie I'd ever see in a theater, I'd have chosen something more memorable! I used to love going to movies, but the last few we had to put up with too many annoyances from other people in the audience. So we built our own home theater and have been watching 2-3 movies a week from Netflix instead.

Bolt, back in November. I loved it and I usually don't even want to see movies like that. But I made my boyfriend take me to go see it before he changed to the graveyard shift for the winter (no dates or fun outings or anything all winter, so it was like a last date until Spring), and even he really enjoyed it.

I still really want to see Coraline and Watchmen, but I'm waiting until they come to the (cheap and friendly) local cinema.

Sixth Sense.

I have sworn off movie theaters. Far too many obnoxious morons who don't get that when the movie starts you're supposed to SHUT UP.
