DESCENT

scariest movie i have seen in a long time. its not over the top, no excessive gore, and has a great plot and characters with depth

Oh yes! This is one of my favorite times of the year as horror/sci-fi flicks are what I prefer to watch on TV. I'll be keeping an eye peeled for The Haunting with Julie Harris. This is just about the only time of the year when they will show it. But, I am NOT watching The Ring. No way, no how, no where!

Oh, and maybe, for once, I can see Leprechaun all the way through. I've never seen the ending. And hopefully, cable will show Legend with Tom Cruise this month. I'm done now.

Wow! I don't hit this area that often, but am glad I did now!!

I LOVE Halloween - and horror movies are a huge part of it. We watch them throughout the year (ok - I admit even the awful Christmas ones) but now is when we pull out our "best of the best"!

I won't relist everything, but I've come to absolutely love Japanese horror... and an earlier poster said it right - American remakes do them a total injustice! They truly know how to scare and play with your brain!

I kind of like the Christmas horror films have you seen the original Black Christmas? Super creepy. I like that Classic movie Tales From the Crypt (not the TV series) one story Joan Collins is terrorized by a maniac dressed as Santa. It was remade for the series, but the original is so great.
