Good WWII Pacific flick with lots of great footage....even if it doesn't always match. A 7.1.

Yesterday: Black Demon (2023) on A Prime. Couldn't believe a brand new Hollywood movie being available so soon. After seeing the movie, I realized why (take my word and skip this one).

To clear my head, I dug into my video archive and watched Two-Lane Blacktop and then The Vanishing Point both from 1971 and my favorite car race/chase movie.

The Admiral: Roaring Currents

An Epic movie.....if you have the time. Wonderful photography, intense emotion, command decisions, ace in the holes lost, never ending battles. It took 2 nights and a morning to get thru it. It's only down side is that at points it tends to do variety show shooting, where you have a second on one person's face then shift and shift and shift. A 9.6.

Love that movie.

I got hoodwinked into watching Causality last night and it SUCKED. The acting, the script, UGH. DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE. At least don't say I didn't warn you.

Fall

Decently good, it holds the attention. It is more tense than The Eiger Sanction, starts off as a combo of Cliffhanger and For Your Eyes Only and even has a little Conan in it. There are one or two weak points to it, but over all, a good way to pass almost 2 hours. A nail biter of 8.9.

Just finished watching The Last Voyage of Demeter.
Spectacular adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula!
One of the best vampire/horror flicks I have seen in a long time.

yup.. it has a strong trailer, so I give it a watch. But it was boring, corny, and I didn't care about the family at the center of the movie.
I was expecting a poor man's 'The Meg', but it was just lame and unworthy of a Meg comparison..

Yup, it had zero suspense/thrills. You couldn't even see the damn shark. It was like an underwater Bigfoot movie with the least charming characters.

I actually liked the supporting cast but especially the Latino actors. Lead white actor was so ridiculously overacting it reminded me of Bruce Willis' acting in The Hostage.

Towards the end of the movie, I was rooting for the blurry shark to eat everyone including the film crew and especially the director but, perhaps, not the kids!

Inspector Morse: The Day of the Devil

Pretty straight forward Brit mystery that isn't too hard to follow.....even if it is a battle of wits. An 8.0.
