Living (2022)

Bill Nighy. 'Nuff said.

This starts really slow and doesn't really accelerate in speed, but it does get much better. Really great "real" characters (and supporting actors). Some very touching scenes.

The last half hour was kind of anticlimactic, and it kind of seemed like it was done by a completely different writer/director, but still overall very worth watching. Loved it.

They say in college biology that once you take the parasite course, you will never leave the US again.....and this movie reminds me of that. Lots of little critters all over the place. Rather a modernized, comedy version of The Andromeda Strain (1971). Not really that fantastic but it keeps the attention, a 6.8.

There's ALWAYS time for lube!

Duchovny clearly had a lot of fun making this one.

"Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves"

Streamed on Paramount+.

A pleasant surprise. Decent action, decent effects, decent acting, genuinely funny in places without trying too hard. Didn't at all feel like it was as long as it was (134 minutes). If only all new releases were this rewarding.

Recommend.

We-ll, that was a thing I didn't like about the movie, the need to make humor by getting gross.

Lots of twists and turns, and beautiful scenery in Croatia.
Just watched it yesterday. I liked it. Pretty predictable but I thought the actors did a good job, and the scenery was beautiful.

Spoiler
Wasn't it the very first scene where the husband's reaction to the mention of her best friend was very telling? lol

A rewatch but I was in the mood for princesses in distress (for my own reasons). Sure, it's a Conan clone but it is decently well done. A 7.6.
