Apparently there is not a thread on this new film
Saw it today
The music was good
Story was believable in a way because it doesn’t try to explain how it happened
He just goes with the opportunity
And I agree — a world w/o the Beatles would be a much worse place...

Yes—
I thought some of the things they decided to delete were really not likely to happen but I guess that was movie’s way of ranking how iconic the Beatles were that these things: X, Y, and Z were also gone...
What was strange was that
Spoiler
personal relationships apparently were not changed—I.e. his parents were the same people, his friends were the same w/same attitudes

Default Great Movie

Yesterday is a mild summer movie with a heart and a message.

Its not publicized and it was not even on the theater marque when I saw it with seven other people.

It will probably end up as a cult favorite and the best movie no one saw for 2019.

It has not great rating on Rotten Tomatoes
I think this is a second round movie
When people have seen what is out there then they will pick this one
So if it stays longer maybe see more appeal

Not publicized? The trailer is playing on nearly every commercial break I've seen.

I agree with hertfordshire that the movie previews and commercials were everywhere for the past 4-5 months. Hard NOT to know this movie was coming.

I saw it this past weekend and enjoyed it although there was at least one plot hole.

Spoiler
If they met because he performed an Oasis song at the school talent show when they were kids, but after the flash Oasis was not a thing, what song did he sing at that talent show in this new version of the world?

Other than that, it was a fun movie to turn off the brain and just sit back and enjoy.

DD pointed out that if cigarettes did not exist in the new time frame, George Harrison wouldn't have smoked and thus wouldn't have died of cancer.
