I have just seen "Conversations with my Gardener" (French film) and loved it. Very slow paced, moving, funny and very poignant.

I loved that movie!
Last week I enjoyed Hayao Miyazaki's My Neighbor Tortoro. Miyazaki is the same guy who did Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away. I love all of them, but Mononoke might be my favorite.

Oldboy (2003) is a great demented Korean movie!! Steven Speilberg is going to do a remake of it supposedly. Here is a trailer:

Apres Vous - a comedy with unusual twists. Danile Autiel (spelling?) usually puts on a great performance.
La Vie Promise - prostitute goes to find her former husband. Great story, very good photography, and superb performance from Isabelle Huppert.
The Piano Teacher - another strong character by Huppert. She has got to be one of the best actresses ever!
In My Skin - this film was hard to watch, but fascinating. Anyone who wants to see it has to have a strong stomach. It deals with a masochistic woman who cuts pieces of her skin for thrills.
