Is this true??? It seems very odd to release a brand new trailer of a movie, announcing its release date in February, then two days later push the movie back by four months. Has Fox really gone that far into keystone cop territory?
If this is true, then either the movie is a real mess and Fox knows it, or it turns out the Mr. Bean is really in control of their release dates.

It is. I posted the Forbes link yesterday, but it's at the bottom of the previous page.
Neither. I think this is more Disney's idea. A PG-13 cut of Deadpool 2 is being released in theaters this Christmas. Disney is obviously testing non-Rated waters when it comes to future sequels.
So does Fox know they have a bomb on their hands? Or are they having a tantrum about handing the X-Men back to Marvel?
Either way, this seems like wacky way to do business.
They probably have a BOMB in their hands. Not sure how they are introducing the Phoenix saga when Apocalypse was poorly done. Maybe Disney will force Fox to put it direct to TV.

I dunno. Releasing a highly hyped trailer with a release date tacked on the end, then pushing the release date back only two days later tells me someone blundered somewhere.

what movies are coming out on the original date? maybe fox is afraid of competition.
Or maybe the movie is better than they were hoping? The trailer listed a release date in February. February is traditionally the month where studios push out stuff they don't care about, along with a few romantic comedies for Valentine's Day. It is mostly considered the movie Dead Zone. (Something very telling about BIRDS OF PREY's release date by the way.)
June on the other hand is the height of summer movie season.
So I have no idea what is really going on. But announcing a release date for a major movie, then postponing it two days later makes me wonder if someone was asleep at the wheel.
