You just reminded me of another wild Chevy flick that made no sense but it was hella fun:

I love that movie.

I am surprised nobody mentioned The Beastmaster.

Beastmaster is one of those movies I LOVED as a 14 year old boy. Yes, largely because of Tanya Roberts.

I now know that my wife also LOVED it as a 14 year old girl. Largely because of shirtless Marc Singer.

So is The Beastmaster actually the perfect date movie?

Mars Attacks.
Especially when Jack Nicholson made his "Why can't we
just get along?" comment.
And the Nelson Eddy music on the van that killed the aliens.
That was probably the best black comedy movie I ever saw.

I thought it was Slim Whitman's yodeling that did the trick.

I wouldn't call Mars Attacks a lousy movie. It is intentionally campy. It's meant to be a modern version of a '50s B movie. It succeeds admirably.

Sharknado I really tried to like, 'cause I love a good bad movie. But Sharknado broke even me. It wasn't bad in a good way. It was just bad. Most inept direction of any movie I have ever seen in my life --- and I have seen Plan 9 from Outer Space. No two scenes had anything to do with one another. It's like the director took 15 movies, chopped them up, then put 1 back together at random from the pieces.
