I don't really think of any of the movies I like as lousy, but the critics often hate my taste in movies.

Great thread.

The Last Dragon - what can you say about a movie with a villain named Sho'nuff and a soundtrack by Vanity?

Kung Fu Hustle - basically a live action cartoon. Foriegn movie with English subtitles. So bad it's great. Example - hero gets a knife stuck in his arm and runs away from someone using the knife as a rear view mirror. Classic.

Shaolin Soccer - from the people who brought you Kung Fu Hustle. I was in tears from laughing so hard. Soooo bad. Best part was the ball going by so fast it rips someone's clothes off (something like that. It's been a while since I've seen it). This one is on Netflix streaming.

Born Losers, Billy Jack, The Trial of Billy Jack and Billy Jack Goes to Washington (complete rip off of Mr. Smith Goes to Washington). The last one was just pathetic. I only will admit to liking the first two.

The Last Dragon was part of that magical summer of 1984 when a whole bunch of good and good/bad films came out. Indiana Jones...Gremlins...Streets of Fire....and The Last Dragon. Oh, the memories.

Seems like you like the Kung Fu flicks. If you haven't seen it, check out Circle of Iron. Allegedly it was written by Bruce Lee (and James Coburn) to demonstrate as an allegory for his Zen belief system, but it is badly marred by laughable dialog, shoddy Kung Fu, and a tragically miscast leading man.

I forgot about Streets of Fire. Wasn't that billed as a rock and roll action flick? LOL.

I think I've heard of Circle of Iron and I'll check it out. Thanks for the tip. When I was in high school I had a friend that was a Bruce Lee fanatic. I've seen Enter the Dragon so many times, I'm pretty sure I could perform the dialogue for the whole movie myself.

The best line is still: "I'll be too busy looking good."

Another one here for Hey, Dude Where's My Car and Zombieland (I'm a middle aged woman and liked these).

And an old one - The Philadelphia Experiment with Michael Pere.

Starship Troopers
Road House
Commando
Panic Room (don't love - like it a lot)

But I get the most grief whenever I list Twister as one of my all time favorites.
