The only thing I can say about riding right now is that I wish I was doing more of it! Damn evil plant sperm has me tearing up, snuffling and coughing to much to be outside for any length of time. It should be over soon though, I'm noticing my car is less green today than it was yesterday. I hose it off every night now, biding my time and waiting for the day when it doesn't look green anymore!

I'm sorry to hear that. I went through a period of several years when it bothered me terribly, but it hasn't very much this year. I don't know whether it has changed or I have. In any case, it should be lightening up before much longer. I know what it's like...good luck!

I never had allergies until a few years ago. I attribute it to living with a two pack a day smoker for so long. Maybe they will go away again now that he's gone.

Maybe so, but I quit smoking over 15 years ago, and my worst allergy years were still ahead.

So, I'm hoping that since no one is posting here that ya'll are out riding. Any interesting riding you'd care to share? We've not been able to get out much. It's been raining here - a lot. When it finally stops, the lawn needs to be mowed so you don't lose the dog in it! Then it rains again! Ugh. I never remember such a rainy spring as this! At least we won't be complaining of a drought this year!

Not yet, anyway. Summer has settled in here after all the rain, and it's hot and humid. Going outside in the afternoon doesn't seem like such a good idea. It's about 95 with a THI of about 103, and it will be hotter than that before long. .

The rain is so tiring already! I did get out for a 2 1/2 hour ride yesterday on my day off, and JUST beat a bad storm home! Whew!

Yup, you're getting the same rain we are. Nasty, isn't it?

Hey, has anyone rented a bike or scooter while on vacation? Was it worth it to explore the area on two wheels or was it just a let down? Inquiring minds wanna know. I was thinking of renting a little 50cc scooter in the Lancaster area to ride around the farmlands there and maybe stop in a little shop or two for some whoopie pies and such. Of course, I'd have to eat whatever I bought immediately as there would be limited storage...

Plenty of Bike rents lialleyCat..... but why don't you try for the bigger cc's and really enjoy your rides on something different to what you normally ride. They ask for big deposits up front normally on bike rentals and it is best to use a search engine to find the right one..... read the fine print. I have rented bikes in many parts of the world while working (easier to park and move around in that a car) and it is my rent of preference, also lets you see what's available on the market.....and ride it for a while without doing the 10 minute test drive from the dealership or borrowing from a friend. and.... carry a shoulder/backpack for the things you might like to take home afterwards. Happy riding and stay safe!!
