Maxed out at 98 here in the Bozone. Couple years ago it hit 113. I'd say that was hotter!

This is interesting:

ITO - Road Fatalities USA

You can zoom in and see details of individual fatalities (age, type).

Some of these, I recognise from the road crosses.

You have never mentioned, are you better capable of finding your way home, to and fro?

Alas, no; for some reason I draw a blank screen!

Default Honor Guard

Thank you for a very emotional posting. I have been a part of these over the years as a firefighter (See West Texas this year alone) but it doesn't matter what uniform the person was wearing, it is still heart wrenching to see.

Yeah... didn't know what to say, so I let it speak for itself. Quite an impact.

I've had the honor of bringing back a couple of our boys and I have to say, there is no greater honor than seeing the impact and what folks do. It's a tough assignment, but each and every step where something like this is observed helps a great deal.

Thanks for posting that Rez.

So ... anyone here yesterday, gone today? as in blown clear to North Dakota? Last night's winds peaked at a recorded 74mph along the HiLine, and wasn't much less than that here at Three Forks. Knocked around an old goat house that must weigh 300 lbs.

Nasty buzzing noise at the height of the wind, and that inside-out feeling to the air, like when it's trying to build up to a tornado.

My son is in the Drum and Buggle Corp and I went up and watched them last night. The storm hit, pretty nasty, but then again I was at 9000 ft in elevation. Came back down and there were busted tree limbs everywhere. Wasn't that bad up on top. Rain, wind, yeah, but not what I saw down here in the aftermath.
