It was about the sale of Ladd Stadium. I do not get it... they could have voted down the resolution/ordinance if they did not like the Ladd agreement.

So it looks like Mobile will be getting another chance at a minor league football team…. From Major League Football (MLF) but not the same guys as before; the guys from last year that completely blew it in Mobile was Major League Football (MLFB)

https://majorleaguefootball.pro/#:~:...sion%20markets.

The first game is supposed to be in 2 months but I can’t find any information on the teams or where the’ll be playing except their home city/state

Is that the same league as the Birmingham Stallions?

No that’s USFL, Although MLF will evidently be putting a team in Birmingham

So they will have two professional teams in Birmingham? Seems risky from a business standpoint. Just to be clear - are we talking American football or soccer?

American Football.

These leagues all fail for the same reason. too few teams to matter. You would think they would put their egos aside and instead of having 2 or 3 active minor leagues competing for 6 to 8 teams each, they would join and have a national league with 20+ teams.

there are smaller minor leagues for football that have made it for a decade or two, simply because they have enough teams to matter and close enough to each other to bring down costs.
