I remember when Jeff speck did an evaluation of downtown streets and traffic. He said it costs very little to slap down some paint and take away 1 way street signs. Not a single street has changed and that was almost 3 years ago now

The city included that Speck plan (dated July 2021) in the contract with Volkert to "implement" during their overall downtown plan. That was voted on in November/December 2021. Design work would have commenced last year, and the first major moves should occur later this year.

Hope that include fining those who have dilapidated buildings downtown too.

Nice !!! I wish the St Francis Street apartments would have came through. I think about that often it was a developer from Tuscaloosa.
