May 2. Hyacinths and daffodils are blooming in my garden, but I just drove to work, and small granular flakes of snow are falling. Brrr!

It sure is starting to warm up out there! 65F and sunny, it feels a little muggy even after that rain last night. Half the trees are green and the other half have big buds on them. I can't belive how fast the weeds keep growing in my garden!
Sounds like a decent weekend is coming up, with a few t-storms to dodge.

Yes, but there is a large lag effect in temps behind the day length (solstice).
June 21st is to warmth as December 21st is to cold, which means our many hot and muggy days come in the months after June 21st.

I know my lawn growth starts slowing down soon after early July... summer is winding down then and will be soon ovah!
