Not sure, but I know some ATMS here used to dispense $10 bills, but I haven't seen any in awhile. I was just wondering about that

I haven't run into any myself, but one thing I had to mention is that when I was in Germany, I'd withdraw cash and it would give me exactly what I was looking for in a neat little "pyramid-type" pile of bills of various denominations. Uber cool.

Always surprises me when anything but a $20 comes out. I think I used to get $10s at the credit union that sits at Energy Park Drive and Lexington Avenue.

For nostalgia's sake: there once was a Norwest "Instant Cash" machine at the old Super America (as opposed to the new Super America) at 44th and Lake Street that dispensed $5 bills. I used to withdraw $15 twice in a row from time to time just so I could have a small pile of $5's.

Forget the $20 minimum: ATMs dispense $1 and $5 bills - Life Inc.

Look like some banks are going to do it.

Better than having people going through the drivethru to get small bills (better for the bank anyway). To me, an even better idea would be to print out cash tickets that could be scanned at retailers as if they were cash. They could be something like stored value bus cards. Or even put out something a smartphone could scan and then use that to make cash purchases. But as a recent TV program said, there'll always be the desire to do anonymous business. Which means cash will live forever.
