They would just direct the FDA to make that drug illegal...

Ok , I should let you know , that my background is in the distribution of pollution control equipment for coal fired power Plants. Our business has run mostly cold these last eight years , with all the delays and diversions. Under Clinton , we were quite busy. The biggest market these days , has been China , unfortunately , not of benefit to me.. Michigan was always a pain when ordering transport permits , unlike Indiana and Illinois. We had to jump through a lot of hoops to satisfy Lansing. But then , Ohio was no cake walk ether...... " Not in my back yard " is a real problem for the expansion of infrastructure , look for more of that as we go along these next few years.
That I can agree with!!

The best thing we can hope for is that he doesn't mess things up too badly. When we starting talking about putting faith and hope into politicians, we are just setting ourselves up for inevitable disappointment. Politicians of both parties have proven time and again that they will avoid making the tough, perhaps unpopular, decisions whenever possible. If we want to see improvement in our lives, the first place we need to look is ourselves.

Perhaps this is the point you were seeking:

George Monbiot: If the state can't save us, we need a licence to print our own money | Comment is free | The Guardian

This is definitely more of a Constitutional Currency than Federal Reserve Notes.

Why not hire Ron Paul?

Thomas Jefferson: "The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

Thing is . . . I'm not sure I trust "the people" that much.

I wonder how difficult it would be to tie the Greenbacks to the gold stores - just to keep some kind of objective integrity.
