I think the point WHY do we as a state literally keep 'catering' to the migrants. The right to shelter thing has gone bananas...and now we are catering 3 meals a day to them. It's sick. Why did we never do this for the homeless and struggling people already here? Something weird is going on...
Because it's all about creating a reliable, monolithic on the dole democrat-voting underclass, similar to what was done to the black population. Zombies don't vote and homeless vets who make up a large percentage of the homeless population are typically right wing, money spent on illegals buys a lot more future votes.

It's in Everett, on Revere Beach Blvd. It's a decent hotel convenient to both the Casino and the airport and more reasonably priced than downtown hotels. My friends were flying in on an evening flight, doing a casino night, and then heading north to ski. They did it once before and wanted to stay there again. There are a bunch of hotels in the same area that seem to do relatively well. Not a beautiful area, but fine place to crash for a night and easily be able to get to/from the casino and airport. But for Envision, the appeal of getting guaranteed 100% occupancy at rack rate is naturally more appealing that relying on normal demand/prices.

Trouble is that most of the sinking middle class have been brainwashed into turning against the "rich". And equally brainwashed that our benevolence will create an expanding middle class. Sucking the life from the working man will create "equity" alright......at the bottom.

Exactly! Class warfare.

Yes, I can see why the middle class feel disgruntled towards the rich and I can see why they feel disgruntled towards the poor. Both are more often than not given things even they didn't really do anything....many rich folks are rich because of the family they were born into, or get ridiculous salaries or bonuses at work out of sheer luck. The poor get all sorts of help as well from tax payers.

Obviously this whole migrant issue is a complete mess. And the contract system for these hotel and catering contracts is absurdly overpriced. But I think Envision was struggling with low occupancy and Spinelli's was a regular topic of conversation in the East Boston groups with years of swirling rumors about their closure. Most talked about how it had gone downhill and my one experience was pretty middling at best (and it was dead). Hardly worth the cost, but it does seem like a couple of local struggling businesses are at least getting something of a lifeline (at least temporarily). Of course, it's not even remotely sustainable and the crisis needs to be addressed, but it's interesting to see some of the ripple effects.
These folks are entitled to absolutely nothing from the taxpayers of Massachusetts. The fact that we are providing them anything more than bologna sandwiches while the state continues to burn to the ground, is beyond despicable.

if we're really going to go there I'm not sure why we owe them bologna sandwiches. Why don't the rest of us get bologna sandwiches or 3 free meals a day? free stays in hotel rooms is disgraceful. I think of all of the families who spent money on hotel stays over xmas break and feb break to have something to do to entertain their kids, spending their hard earned money, and plenty of hard working families couldn't even afford to go on vacation....but these losers get free hotel stays (by tax payers) just for showing up in the US because they want to be here.

How d[list=1][/LISTl. I wonder how Ms Healey really feels about all this migrant issue. I would think she is in high command, as to how its handled. Can she say Enough is Enough and put her foot down and stop it? Seems to me she has no problem taking over property, and turning them into shelters. I've never once heard her say how is all this impacting Mass residents. Not even once.

She doesn't seem to give a sh*t about how it's affected the state as a whole. Does not care one bit. She has taken recreation centers away from inner city kids/people for these idiots.
