I am just soo tired of that style house. I'm almost finding the 70s split level homes to be charming.

An IT + biotech household can easily make $300k, and $400k is not rare.
It also depends on the stock option.

It’s true that spending $2M is still a stretch

But this house was just sold yesterday for $1.6M https://redf.in/2s0nrJ

It is also in a forest of splits, and is on a busy double solid yellow line road not too far from the highway ramp.

Ooh this one in Littleton is more interesting than anything else. Got Septic issues. Was put on the market at 432k on March 8th and they get a bite but on the 18th the buyer backs out. They cut the price to 399k on the 28th and get a second one to bite. They backed out on Wednesday and the seller now has cut the price further all the way down to 300k.

That one at least doesn't seem as out of place where it is....looks like there's a mix of large colonials, splits, and these new construction farmhouse monstrosities on that street. Still, $1.6M to be on a solid double yellow road?

It says right in the listing disclosures....'Title V not done. Seller believes it will fail..."

https://redf.in/TBn2H5 This house was sold for $1.326M less than a year ago, a fair amount of freshening up went into it, and now it’s listed for $130K less than they paid. Ouch!

Burlington is pretty close to Boston...still not sure that justifies those prices though

What's with all the black entrance doors and walls now? I don't like this trend. I don't think it will age well.
