Well, I'll tell you right now. Salaries aren't going to get lower. Let's just get that out the way and proceed from there. No one (let alone more than one person) is gonna cut salaries 40% so folks can live in Milton, MA one day.

Let's move this focus back to actually building enough housing because that was a strange and peculiar diversion from reality.
…and nothing of substance will get built in the suburbs until the inclusionary zoning BS is done away with. Those paying high six or seven figures to get away from “urban culture” and live in a safe affluent town with good schools will fight tooth and nail to keep it that way, rightfully so.

Doesn't help the people competing against cash buyers, particularly in the markets that do well with renters.
It’s always been a good inflation hedge. And a cash buyer can always leverage the income property after the fact to create the cash to buy the next one.

I don’t see Milton getting a whole lot of interest here. Seems like people are all about Newton, Weston, Wellesley, Lexington when it comes to schools. Which is fair enough I guess since if you’re all about ratings those schools fare better than Milton.

In all fairness, I don't have much interest in Newton, Weston, Wellesley and Lex either....

I know the collective brain trust is gasping at such a diabolical statement.

That's because metrowest is more popular. Nothing against Milton.

Exactly. This forum and people wanting to move to the Boston area from other parts of the world are all about Metrowest.

Milton is the closest suburb south of Boston. That's a good commute.
