There are more “essential” workers than that. Anyone taking care of, feeding etc animals is considered essential. I believe the department of homeland security today just recognized agriculture as a essential occupation as well it should be.

Honestly I think you will see riots just from the economic loss if the status quo remains for several months. The highest unemployment has gotten is 25% in 1933. It's not unrealistic the US will blow past that.

It’s not like GameStop is some Mom and Pop operation. I’ll take your word for it that they’d go out of business if they had to close for a short time. But if that’s the case that’s a sign they had significant problems before Covid-19 was a thing.

Mom and Pop stores with one location going out of business because they have to shut down for a short time? Tragic yes, but I get why it is going to happen. GameStop is a household name. I’m aware of them and how crappy they treat their employees and I haven’t played a videogame in about 10 years.

The Holyoke Mall was recently closed and the argument basically is this. If a storefront has an opening other than to the outside then that means a technically shares air quality with the general mix that can potentially come from other stores. That means that everything Airborne regardless if they're looking at the front can still come in from the back. You have to comply with fire codes and have multiple exits so that pretty much limits activities significantly.

No way this will go on for several months. Both China and South Korea are getting back to normal. Basically like 6 weeks.

I think there will be a bit but I would not be surprised if we are pretty much back to normal by election day.

Most are scrambling to put content and resources online. How effective and complete those resources are have yet to be seen and will likely vary.
