I would love to go to a restaurant also. But the thought of contracting corona there and bringing it home to my kids or my parents outweighs my love of wanting someone else to make food for me. These places will be back in business, just probably not on May 4th.

We were supposed to go to a wedding on may15th down the cape. It’s been moved to July 15th. I’m honestly not sure big gatherings like that will be back in business. I’m wondering why this couple just didn’t move to August or even the fall because it’s probably enough trouble to have to change the date in the first place. I just don’t know what the turnout will be like for them on July15.

My daughter’s wedding was supposed to be May 16th and we moved it to September, but we were lucky that date was available. Probably that was the only date your friends could get.

I live alone so its understandable why my attitude is a little different. I do not visit my mother anymore though.

Yeah I’m guessing these people were lucky to get the place they did. It’s a very nice place

Things need to go back to normal May 4th. This cannot keep dragging on like this. We will all be lining up in the breadline by September if this keeps going as is. For the people who keep clamoring for a complete lockdown, do you understand the ramifications of a lockdown? The country would never recover, might as well start learning Mandarin if we do a complete shutdown.

I think some places may open on may 4th. But I really think school is done for the year.

I expect to be working from home until at least June. We have never stopped business though.

I’m thinking timeline might be something like this- Open for 1.5 months, then complete lockdown for 1.5 months so hospitals aren’t overwhelmed again, then rinse and repeat until vaccine comes out or next fall when everyone probably already got it from one of the earlier cycles. whichever comes earlier. there’s just too much pressure to open up. It’s like people have to see the numbers go up again and proof before they commit to another shutdown. I also think this will be done state by state, so some states may be in shut down mode while others aren’t over the course of next 18 months.

If it mutates then start 18 month cycle over again.

If you disagree with me I’d like to know what you think will really happen.

It had never occurred to me to open things up for 1.5 months then close them again. Doesn’t seem ideal and not sure everyone would stick to this.
