What is with you, always shaking your finger at people for drinking or smoking pot? If it helps people feel a little more relaxed being stuck at home, what is it to you?

FWIW, I have been enjoying a couple of pints of beer in the evenings and watching anything but news on TV. It helps. I am still working 10 hours a day (weekdays). I like some escapism afterwards. I guess I'm not strong-minded enough for you. I am devastated.

My feeling too. Life is hard, before all this transformative change. In my adopted state of Colorado, now takeout restaurants can offer alcohol to take out. I think this is great and will help keep these small businesses afloat. There is hope that the laws against public drinking will not be enforced in the park across from the downtown cafe restaurant!

I barely ever drink, and that with places playing music. I am thinking of taking up some mild drinking myself. I like the effect but not the taste, never have liked it.

Re MJ, I certainly worry about the lung effects of any smoking, including vaping.

I think I read that NYC is doing this too.

Mind you, I am not a big proponent of dope-smoking, but wror is just obsessed with ranting about it. I think he's been going on about it for the better part of a year, and he still keeps starting new threads about it and tries to bring every other thread around to discussing it. REALLY tiresome.

Seems silly. Thank you for pointing this out.

I've found that those that rail against it are generally those that never figured out how to use it responsibly. If you associate any drinking with getting drunk, personally, and thats all you can think about and you lack self awareness, you castigate others for your own behavior. See it all the time on here. I understand there are alcoholics and other substance abusers that have a disease and can't just use a substance responsibly, but lots of people can. Heck, just go to your local good taproom (not now obviously) and you almost never see people get intoxicated, they're there having a drink or two and socializing. Lots of people can't imagine that. I feel sorry for them.
